School Opening Update August 11, 2026
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, we are very much looking forward to finally welcoming our students back to campus tomorrow, Wednesday, August 12, for Day 1. Tomorrow’s special schedule has been adjusted to accommodate some of the important school-opening activities we were unable to hold earlier this week due to the weather-related suspensions. We hope it will give our students a warm and meaningful start to the new school year.
SCHOOL OPENING UPDATE
Following the City’s announcement suspending face-to-face classes for Preschool–Grade 12 tomorrow, Tuesday, August 11, please note the following: 1. There will be no classes tomorrow (August 11). Students should not report to campus; 2. School offices will be open, and faculty and staff will report, subject to safe travel conditions.
August 10, 2026 : School and Offices Closed
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Work has been suspended today, Monday, August 10. Faculty and staff are NOT required to report, and school offices will be closed.
ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
LOWER SCHOOL ( Pre-K to Grade 3)

Lower School includes students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 5. All classes are small, encouraging student-centered learning and individual growth. Each class has a Homeroom teacher responsible for the pastoral care of students, and keeping in close contact with parents.
MIDDLE SCHOOL (GRADES 6-8)

The curriculum for Middle School is designed to provide the foundation for students who will pursue the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program, through emphasis on discovery, investigation, and skills-based courses. Middle School students take eight subjects each semester.
UPPER SCHOOL (GRADES 9 – 12)

Upper School begins in Grade 9 with Courses in Grades 9 – 10 serving as preparation for International Baccalaureate courses in Grades 11 and 12. Courses in Grades 11 and 12 are offered at both Higher (HL) and Standard level (SL), as well as Credit level, to cater to students who may or may not choose to take the full IB diploma program.

In Grades 11 & 12, Brent follows a program based on the curriculum of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB), a global leader in international education—developing inquiring, knowledgeable, confident, and caring young people.
