It never ceases to amaze visiting alumni and school guests that Brent International School Baguio has managed to retain most of its unique set-up as a school campus amidst the lush greenery whose growth can be traced through the years.  To this 102 years old National Heritage Site, we happily welcome everyone as we altogether start a new school year.

The campus theme in all Brent Schools for school year 2011-2012 is " Be Loving  and  Compassionate" - a value that has underscored the mission of the School since day one and which definitely continues to  warm and strengthen that special bond within the family and community of Brentonians.  Jesus said, "Whatever good that you do to the least of my brothers and sisters, that you do unto me." (Matthew 25:40).  Year after year, in classrooms and in all school activities and programs,  Brentonians have  manifested this "doing good and reaching out".  May this school theme reach greater heights within the next ten months as we (adults and young ones) take time to recognize  those  opportunities each day  to show our love and care to all those around us, to those in need here and elsewhere, and to our environment!

We thank the outgoing Parent Teachers Association under the leadership of Prof. Henry Tenedero who ensured that their Legacy Project  be installed in time for the start of the school year.  Take time to visit the school  chapel  to see this.  We also welcome the new set of officers at the helm of the PTA, with the voluntary assistance of some "alumni-PTA"  who still very much wish to support the school activities on a year-in and year-out basis.

We start the  school year with the excitement  of making new friends, of having new subjects and teachers, of renewing  friendships, and of revitalizing events and activities . We are as excited as our young pre-K students joining the "big school" and   with our kindergarteners  about to experience a full day of classes.  Our IB students likewise  are gearing up now  for  the challenges ahead of them  - challenges which our ten IB   Diploma  graduates hurdled successfully last school year.   We  pleasingly have heard from  Brentonians  who have moved on to other places, or  to  colleges and universities, and some probably even enjoying retirement years  now  and  how  they  are   equally excited about our website's "Ganzas-on-line" which  gives them the opportunity to be in touch with Brent "down memory lane" and with the traditions  which endure to nurture us all today!

It is a full circle of love and caring amongst Brentonians!   To all our new students, parents, faculty,  and staff, welcome to this circle!
