A belated Happy New Year to all!
Welcome back to our returning students and a warm greeting to our newcomers joining us for the second semester of the school year.
Report cards will come out on January 13 and our advice for students is to make use of your report as a learning tool. Look for your weaker areas, and focus your attention especially on them during this semester. Do not feel defeated or downhearted if you have one or two poor grades as this is common to many students. Instead, accept the challenge of making improvements.
This is an important semester for our grade 11 students as they begin to make plans to attend college. Each student should schedule time to see Mrs. Diwas for individual advice on how to proceed with applications and to set a timetable for what needs to be done going forward. Our 12th graders will take their IB practice exams in about 12 weeks time – at the end of March – so they too will need to plan carefully to meet all of their requirements and deadlines. We wish them success in the busy time to come, as they prepare to enter college.
